How long can breastmilk be stored?
Knowing what conditions to store your milk in is crucial for both baby and you- whether they’re drops collected from overspill, hand-expressed, or pumped milk.
Maintain hygiene of hands, pumps, and containers.
- Remember to label your stored milk with the date
- Never microwave to thaw. Just put the frozen/refrigerated container in a bowl of warm water
If your milk has run past its expiry date, there’s no need to dump it if it hasn’t gone bad.
You can use it:
- in baby’s bathwater
- to soothe skin irritation or diaper rash
- make the baby a customized body cream
